Best when you need a new look, new fitment, different light functions or a full new design.
- Housing, lens and mounting design

From a Logo to a New Product
How Much Can You Customize an LED Headlight Assembly?
Choose the amount of work your product needs. A logo or finish change can move quickly; a new beam, housing or complete assembly needs more development and testing.
| Project Type | What You Can Change | Timeline | Effect on Certification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brand & Style | Smoked or chrome finish; laser logo; halo color; white or amber DRL. | 2–4 weeks | Usually unchanged if the optics, legal colors and markings stay the same. |
| Light Functions | Beam pattern; 3000K–6000K color; output or power; sequential turn signal; CAN bus. | 2–3 months | Beam and light output need new testing. |
| Fitment | Other model years; related vehicle models; harness or plug changes. | 1–3 months | Usually unchanged if the beam and functions stay the same. |
| New Housing | New outer design using existing optics; higher IP rating; new fitment; 9–36V input. | 6–12 months | Plan E-Mark work before mold production. |
| Full New Product | New molds, optics, wiring, heat control and product testing. | 12–24 months | New certification for the target market. |
Which option should you choose? Start with branding and style changes when speed matters. Change functions or fitment when an existing product is close but not ready for your vehicle. Choose a new housing or full development only when your sales plan can support molds, testing and a longer launch.
Fitment Comes First
Headlight Challenges by Vehicle
Each vehicle family has different fitment, electronic and environmental demands. Select a tab to see what should be checked and how LOYO approaches the project.

Jeep Wrangler Headlight Assemblies
Jeep Wrangler has an active off-road upgrade market. Your headlight needs a recognizable look, correct beam performance and dependable functions for both daily driving and trail use.
- JK, JL and JT models use different sizes, mounts, brackets and plugs.
- A 7-inch or 9-inch description alone does not confirm direct fit.
- DRL and turn-signal wiring can change by year and market version.
- Rain, dust, vibration and impact place extra stress on off-road lights.
- We check the Jeep model, year, market version, original lamp, plug and bracket.
- We confirm high beam, low beam, DRL and turn-signal functions.
- The beam version is matched to the country where you will sell.
- Sample checks cover installation, wiring, sealing, vibration and light functions.
- DOT or E-Mark documents are confirmed for the exact model you order.

Truck and Classic Vehicle Headlights
Rectangular 4×6 and 5×7 headlights remain popular for older trucks, classic vehicles and commercial applications. Buyers usually want an LED upgrade that keeps the familiar size and installs with minimal work.
- The same front size may hide a different plug, rear depth or mounting frame.
- Older trucks may have changed wiring or worn plugs.
- Vehicle voltage and available space affect the correct replacement.
- Left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive markets need different beams.
- We check size, rear clearance, mounts, plug wiring and vehicle voltage.
- The beam and light functions are matched to your sales market.
- A 9–36V design is available when the application needs a wider input range.
- The sample is checked for fitment, output, sealing and vibration.
- Ford and Chevy applications can be reviewed by model and year before sampling.

Harley-Davidson Headlight Assemblies
Harley riders often replace the original lamp to update the front-end look and improve nighttime visibility. For dealers, clean installation and correct model-year fitment matter as much as styling.
- 5.75-inch and 7-inch headlights may need different mounts or adapters.
- The plug and space behind the light can change by model year.
- DRL wiring and CAN bus setup must match the motorcycle.
- The wrong setup may cause flicker, a warning light or radio noise.
- We check the motorcycle model, year, fairing, mount and original plug.
- High beam, low beam and DRL wiring are confirmed before the sample.
- The sample is checked for warning lights, flicker and radio noise.
- Fitment, sealing and vibration are reviewed before production.
- Available documents are confirmed for the exact headlight model.

BMW Motorcycle Headlight Assemblies
BMW motorcycle headlight replacements are model-specific products. Your customers expect the new assembly to fit the original bodywork, keep the required functions and avoid dash warnings.
- Mounts, plug wiring and electronics can change by model and year.
- A different power load may cause a dash warning.
- The new housing must fit behind the original bodywork.
- Confirm the sales market before choosing the beam version.
- We check the model, year, original light, plug and required functions.
- Voltage, power load and warning-light behavior are tested on the sample.
- Housing clearance, mounting, beam and sealing are reviewed.
- The correct beam version is selected for your sales market.
- E-Mark documents are confirmed for the exact model when available.

Dirt Bike and Enduro Headlights
Dirt bike riders want a replacement that works with the original mask and survives rough use. LOYO carries model-focused options for Yamaha motorcycles and Husqvarna bikes.
- Headlight masks, straps and plugs vary by motorcycle.
- Mud, water and vibration place more stress on the housing.
- A light for off-road use may not meet road-use rules.
- A universal-looking headlight may still need fitting work.
- We check the mask, mounts, plug, voltage and space behind the light.
- Beam functions and road-use needs are confirmed for your market.
- Sealing and vibration requirements are matched to the riding conditions.
- Fitment and wiring are approved on the sample before production.
- Product documents are confirmed by exact model and version.

ATV and UTV Headlight Assemblies
ATV and UTV headlights are bought for trail riding, farm work and utility use. A dependable replacement needs the right mount and electrical setup, plus protection from water, dust and constant vibration.
- Mud, water, dust, vibration and impact can damage a weak light.
- Voltage, plugs and mounts vary between machines.
- Limited space can affect fitment and cooling.
- Road-use rules depend on the country or region.
- We check the vehicle, year, voltage, plug, mounts and functions.
- Sealing and cooling are matched to the planned use.
- Mount strength is reviewed for vibration and impact.
- The sample is checked for installation, functions and sealing.
- IP rating and available documents are confirmed for the exact model.
Certification and test documents depend on the exact model, light functions and country where you will sell it.

Product Testing
Each test plan is based on the headlight model and the country where it will be sold. If you change the beam, light output, legal light color or optical parts, the lamp must be tested again.
- Beam pattern and light-output checks
- Voltage, current and function checks
- Water, dust and sealing tests
- Vibration and temperature tests
- Burn-in testing
- Certification support by model
For U.S. sales, the headlight must be checked against FMVSS No. 108. For European sales, the main reference is UN Regulation No. 149. We confirm the available documents for the exact model you order.

Plan Your Launch
How Long Does a Custom Headlight Assembly Take?
A small change can take 2–4 weeks. A new look based on an existing light system usually takes 6–12 months. A fully new headlight assembly usually takes 12–24 months.
Confirm Your Requirements
First stepSend the vehicle, sales market, light functions, quantity, branding and launch date.
Design the Headlight
Several weeks to monthsA new project may need 16–24 weeks for the beam, housing, wiring and cooling design.
Make the First Sample
1–2 weeksSample work starts after you approve the design and sample plan.
Make the Molds
30–90+ daysA single-color mold is often around 60 days. A two-color or multicolor mold can take 90–120 days and 5–8 trial runs.
Test the Product
Usually 60–90 daysTiming depends on the sales market, light functions and whether the sample needs changes.
Run a Small Trial Batch
Before the bulk orderWe check assembly, light output, sealing, wiring, fitment and packaging.
Approve the Final Sample
Your approvalThe sample and product details you approve become the standard for production.
Start Mass Production
After approvalWe order materials and schedule production and packaging for the confirmed order.
Our recommendation: use an existing model if you want the fastest launch. Allow about 3–4 months for a private-label launch that includes the sample, packaging and production. Do not set a six-month launch date for a project that needs both new molds and new certification.
